Verification with a narrow, responsible scope.

The operating rules applied to datasets, SMTP interaction, provider feedback, and abuse handling.

Legitimate business-data maintenance.

The service is operated privately for quality checks on Finnish B2B contact datasets. A verification result is a technical signal only. It does not establish a lawful basis, consent, or permission to send email.

What the service must not be used for.

  • Consumer profiling or indiscriminate address enumeration.
  • Credential attacks, account discovery, security testing without authorization, or evading provider controls.
  • Supporting spam, phishing, malware, harassment, fraud, or unlawful messaging.
  • Repeated probing after a provider has signaled a block, restriction, or request to stop.
  • Reselling results or exposing verification through an unauthenticated public API.

Receiving systems set the boundary.

Operation is intentionally low-volume and cache-aware. A partial SMTP dialogue stops before DATA. Default operation uses two concurrent checks, twenty starts per minute, per-domain spacing, and a persistent daily ceiling of 5,000 SMTP attempts.

Timeouts, greylisting, throttling, and policy rejections are treated as unknown rather than retried until an answer is forced. If a provider indicates that checks are unwelcome, operation for that provider should be slowed, suspended, or stopped.

Reports are investigated.

Send network-conduct concerns to abuse@nordicmailops.com. Helpful details include the affected domain or address, source IP, UTC timestamp, SMTP transcript or receiving-server log excerpt, and the action requested.

We use reports to identify the relevant activity and can pause operation while investigating. Technical questions can be sent to verifier@nordicmailops.com.
